There are a agglomeration of unlike means to do it, merely what I normally do:

Salve Equally... the project with the track to some descriptive name.
Click on one of the tracks in the TCP and Ctrl-A to select all.
Ctrl-Click the track I desire to copy to remove it from the option.
Hit delete and if it asks you lot if you actually desire to, click yeah.
Ctrl-South to salve again and then open the project into which I'm trying to copy.
Right click in the TCP and become Insert New Track From Template.
Pull the File Blazon driblet downwards to say Reaper Projects.
Find the project I saved in the earlier steps.

That may audio roundabout, but it works. It's probably easier merely to relieve the one track every bit a Runway Template, but it just seems messy to me for some reason.

I actually wish at that place was a way to do something like my method but get a list of tracks in the project and be able to selection the couplefew that you want. I mean, you could just import the whole original project and delete the excess tracks after, but...

Have both the projects open in REAPER in different tabs.
Select the rail (+media?) that yous want to copy then hit ctrl+c.
Switch to the project you want to copy to and hit ctrl+5.

Actually information technology's pretty simple.

>Load the projection that yous want to paste the rail to.

>Use Ctrl-Alt+N to add a new reaper tab, and load the projection you want to copy the runway from.

>Brand sure there are no items selected, and then select the rails you want to copy and use Ctrl+C to re-create it.

>Click on the first project tab to get dorsum to the project you desire to paste to and employ Crtl+5 to paste it.

I exercise that quite often and you can re-create/paste as many tracks as y'all want to.

EDIT: Heh heh, Andy beat me.

I do that quite often and you can copy/paste every bit many tracks equally y'all desire to.

Thanks much. Really helpful, I was going a bit basics trying to import silence and breath sounds for editing, having to recreate every time. Then much to learn, and I've been at it off and on for two years!

I'd similar to mention that 2015 me had been traumatized by trying to open multiple projects and copy tracks back and forth. Mostly by other DAWs, but I practice call up having trouble with information technology in Reaper too. That was more likely to practice with that fact that even just one of my projects was oft right at the edge of what my car could handle, then opening 2 was way likewise much.

I've gotten over most of that. I still recall information technology'southward corking that you can import a whole .RPP every bit a "track template", though.

Another idea: Save rail template, load there once more. You might have a fixed "transfer_tracks" track template, which y'all would overwrite each time. Then generating an automation (custom action or lua script) doing all actions in ane get.

LOL! That's really good, but no. I followed the Cakewalk upgrade path from back when it was MIDI simply. Some of my traumas and the habits Ive developed because of them practice come from a time when Mega (anything) was big and Giga was science fiction.

Default Copying rail from i project to another

I empathise the principle of copy and paste.

Just often when I copy a track from project 1 and paste it in project 2 it does not always line up in projection ii exactly as in the commencement i.

For example, in project 1 (an earlier version of project 2) I copied the vocal and pasted information technology in 2 and it should have lined upwards more or less with the vocal there (the one I am less satisfied with so the one in the older version) in project 2 just it does not.

I can always move information technology manually into alignment, I suppose, but I wonder why this happens.
